This week The Swan Trust waves farewell to Rory Johnson who has successfully skippered Swan during the summer 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Rory and his fiancée Linn Sagstad are heading off to warmer climes for more round-the-world sailing adventures starting in the Canary Isles. Linn also sailed onboard Swan as a crew member looking after everyone who sailed during the summer.
De-rigging of Swan also took place this week with further preparations being made to secure the ship before winter sets in.
Diary planning for The Swan Trust’s 2016 season is well underway and will feature whole and half day sails in and around Shetland’s coastline and outer isles, fishing trips, cruises and longer adventures across the North Sea in Norway and Scandinavia.
Swan will be berthed at Scalloway Boating Club during the winter and will be available for corporate events or entertainment onboard. Anyone interested in booking the vessel should contact Peter Campbell on 01595 69 5193 or email to [email protected]
