The perfect way to see Shetland, aboard its traditional sailing vessel, Swan. This voyage will explore the coastline of Shetland's mainland as well as the islands of Yell and Unst right up to the most northerly point of the UK – Muckle Flugga. Join the crew and discover what our beautiful islands have to offer...
Join the Swan at the pier in Lerwick and board at 9:30 am. After your safety briefing, you will begin your sail up the east coast of Shetland and round the top of Unst, taking in the Muckle Flugga lighthouse (the most northerly point of the UK) and stopping at various locations, or at anchor depending on weather conditions. The voyage continues back down through Yellsound, and if time and weather permits, the boat may stop in along Skerries.
Whilst taking in the spectacular views and wildlife the northmost UK islands have to offer, you and your crew mates will work as a team to make your voyage happen. All tasks are shared, and everyone joins in, from the most to the least experienced. For more details of what to expect on board please refer to our Welcome Aboard leaflet.
